I think the book The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo was an excellent book. There were many adventures about this little mouse of what he did it was amazing! I think this book was great it is a little over 300 pages but it's great!

I thought that the book/poem The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein was awesome! It was about a guy who found this tree and the tree gave so much that it was reduced to a stump but then all the man wanted to do was have a place to sit so he sat on the stump.

Yellow Star by Jennifer Roy

A great novel, written in free verse, this story tells one Jewish girl's struggle living in a Polish ghetto during the Holocaust. "Yellow Star" creatively interprets of the time period and I highly recommend it to all!
